For 2022 we read over 50 new Christmas books to…
We’ve always had a few Christmas books, but most of them weren’t very good. Only a couple could have been classified as favorites. We hardly read them every year, and I was well aware that none of them were “tradition material”.
Next, I scoured the internet for high-quality reading lists. If I was going to take the time to read that many books I wanted them to be excellent. I took all the books from lists of people I respected, compiled them into one master list, and started checking books out at the library!
After reading the initial 32 books we read all the favorites again and I had them vote to narrow it down. The final round or two we didn’t read it again. I just let them pick to narrow it down.
Now I have the list of books I want to shop for this year and always have on hand.
