Are you interested in going around our American world with your homeschool lessons this year? This is a literature-based family-style curriculum for elementary students! Designed to promote either Charlotte Mason or Classical styles of education. This curriculum includes stories of American history expanded into many subjects from around the globe for families of first through seventh graders. Unlike free online CM curricula, you don’t have to schedule out the recommended books. These lesson plans are researched and laid out so you can do the recommended readings confident in completing the scope at the end. Each week covers connected topics to explore ideas in the same categories but without the 5-day format. This allows you to have a day for co-op, two days for blended model, or a day to catch up.

Emphasis on family connection

What sets this curriculum apart is that you learn as a family rather than having students on multiple learning tracks.

American history is complex, but informed by good Christian theology. We believe that humans are sinful, but also that everyone is stamped in God’s image. The sinfulness of men has often meant that they treated one another poorly in an attempt to gain more for themsleves, but God also uses the courage of men and women in every era to do what is right. The books I have selected open a lot of space for families to have good conversations about complicated history, the way it impacts our present, and how as people who love God we can love God and do right. I hope these stories encourage kids toward courage and develop a strong moral compass. I’ve pre-read everything this year, and provide a heads up for productive conversations you could have with many of the books. Science is different this year!!! I will have a younger elementary track that leans into nature learning. Then there will be a “second helpings” track that includes higher level science! The “second helpings” track will include YouTube training resources to help explain the more complex concepts. I’ve also written and included labs.
