I can’t count the number of times I’ve been asked for an Oklahoma Homeschool Facebook groups directory. So I’m finally making it a reality. Often times the first step for a family moving to a new area or starting to homeschool is to follow the local Facebook groups!
This is a great idea because it lets you know about activities happening in your area and also allows you to ask questions and get answers in real-time! If you’re looking for a co-op in the OKC metro area I made this directory. I also made a list to help you find Oklahoma influencers or mentors doing fun things locally I also made a directory for them! Easy Peasy is a free, online, homeschool curriculum. Members of this group live in Oklahoma and use Easy Peasy with their children. Feel free to ask questions and share ideas.
Homeschooling in OKC Metro (HOM)
We are a great bunch of families having a lot of homeschool fun! This group started with just two Christian mom friends way back in 2003 with a Yahoo group. It’s grown for years and has experienced changes all along the way. We are only on Facebook now, so jump right in and join us in real time! We would love to see what you are doing and what you know that we can all benefit from! Post away! Also, members are welcome and encouraged to put activities, field trips, clubs, and events together at any time. If you need help getting something together, we can help. This is a cooperative effort group, that way, not all the planning falls on a few.
