Guide to our OKC Favorites

Here is my guide to our OKC favorites. I’ve lived in Oklahoma City for 15 years now and have collected a list of my “it” places to go! It’s become such a hobby of mine that I have a lot of my in-person friends come to me for recommendations, so I thought I’d put them all here for everyone to enjoy!

Food with Beautiful Aesthetics

Hall’s Pizza

This is the first place we take all our out-of-town guests. It’s the best pizza I’ve ever had (be sure to ask for the secret sauce). The design is gorgeous both inside and outside. Our personal favorites are “The Sweetness” and “Company.” If you have little kids, ask for dough to play with.

Bradford House

This is the perfect girls’ brunch spot (they also serve dinner). The pastries and coffee are delicious. I’ve stayed the night here, and it’s perfect for tucking away in a corner to work while drinking coffee and eating delicious food.

Jones Assembly

Is another great place to eat if you’re looking for a vibe. There is often live music, and the patio on a gorgeous day is perfect because it’s protected from the wind.

Birra Birra

Has the best private dining room. It’s the place if we are going out to eat with extended family, we reserve the room, so we can talk and eat in a large group without having to shout over the table.

Harvey Bakery

Has THE MOST delicious pastries and coffee, combined with the cutest design and attention to detail. You can watch the bakers at work, or settle down with a friend for a conversation over breakfast. (Note: they are only open for breakfast and lunch.)

Hole in the Wall Delicious Food

The Garage or S&B

There is a big debate in our family for which place serves the best burgers. The boys insist it’s The Garage, but I solidly stand by S & B. If you try it and have an opinion, please weigh in.

Miso Ramen Sushi

Is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, but it has the best rolls! Joseph and I’s favorite roll is the “Shrimp Bizkit Roll.” I’ve also taken so many friends, and no one has disagreed or even seemed mildly disappointed.

TamashiI Ramen

Is one of our favorite low-key date places. Our favorite thing to order is the “Spicy Miso Ramen.” It’s what I crave nine times out of ten. It’s just hot enough that I have to eat it slowly, but not at all unbearable. Be sure to order it with the “Spicy Pork” to find the perfect protein and carb balance!

Best Coffee

EOTE coffee

Hands down and no competition. I don’t know about all the orders, but for the Mocha, it’s amazing. They use rich, dark chocolate with the coffee, so it has a deeper flavor. Their name stands for Ends Of The Earth, and last I checked a huge chunk of profits goes toward ending human trafficking, so major win there too!

Perets Dessert & Coffee Bar

They have the most delicious dessert. A huge bonus is that they are open late, so that you can meet up with friends after your kid’s bedtime.

Book Stores

CommonPlace Books

This bookstore in Midtown is one of my favorite places ever. I always walk out with a new idea for a book to read. They have an adorable children’s section, and their storytime has been a family favorite of ours off and on. They have a smaller space and tend to curate books. I have found several of our family favorites there. If you are there when the children’s book curator is there, ask her questions, because she has a large family of readers!

Full Circle Books

Has bookshelf ladders and moody vibes. It’s the perfect place to curl up with a good book on a rainy day, or the place I love to take the boys to find new books, because their children’s section is massive and has all the best sellers.

Did I miss anything? Let me know other places you recommend in the comments and I’d love to try them out!
