Paper Bag Snowflake Pattern
A couple of years ago I had no paper bag snowflake pattern, but I made these just by guessing. They were so cheap and added a lovely pop of holiday cheer. I’ve since seen them everywhere, but no place that had good directions or traceable patterns.
The big hold-up for me in the following years was trying to figure out what shape to cut them. This year I had the bandwidth to experiment and then I turned it into patterns for you.
Helpful Hints
Each snowflake is best done with 9 or 10 paper bags. 12 caused them to puddle at the end and 8 wasn’t full enough. You can find a tutorial on my Instagram!
The key is doing only an upside-down T of glue. The first year I did glue everywhere and it didn’t work well!

I think the key is starting early enough in the year so you can enjoy them, but the beauty of snowflakes are that they aren’t Christmas-specific, so I have left mine up until February. I don’t really recommend these as a kid’s craft, because it’s so many layers to cut through.
